Free Seminar on the Causes and Treatments of Pain at Holy Family Hospital

Pain Specialist Stephanie Gianoukos, MD will talk about the various causes and treatments for pain during a free seminar at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen on December 6, 2016. 
 
During her talk titled The Essentials of Pain Management, Dr. Gianoukos will identify various types of pain, describe the effects of pain on the body, explain how pain is assessed and treated, and explore the goals of pain management in a hospital-based pain center.
 
Dr. Gianoukos earned her medical degree at University of Massachusetts Medical School, and then completed her internship in internal medicine at Tufts Medical Center, her residency in anesthesiology at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, and her fellowship training in pain medicine at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center.
 
Dr. Gianoukos is on staff at the Centers for Pain Management at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen and Haverhill.
 
This presentation will be held in the Methuen campus ground-floor auditorium from 6 to 7 p.m.  Light refreshments will be served.
