Holy Family Hospital Announces All Day Conference on the Effects of Domestic Abuse

Registration is now open for The Effects of Domestic Abuse Through the Ages, Holy Family Hospital’s 6th Annual Adult Behavioral Conference. 
 
This year the conference will be held on Friday, September 16, 2016 in the Hartleb Technology Building at Northern Essex Community College, 100 Elliott St. in Haverhill, MA.
 
The day will begin at 8:00 a.m. with registration and continental breakfast, and end at 3:30 p.m. The cost of $45 includes continental breakfast, lunch and continuing education credits:  six AMA Category 1 physician risk management and domestic violence CMEs; 5.7 contact hours for nursing; and  5.5 CEUs for social workers,  licensed mental health counselors, and LADC addiction counselors (pending).

Domestic Abuse Defined - From the perspective of the perpetrator, victim, and children,” with Michele Penta, MS, LMHC, director of The Family Safety Project
at Holy Family Hospital.
 
When What Happened to You, Becomes What’s the Matter with You - Working with the Aging Client Impacted by Trauma,” with Kimberlie Flowers, MSW, LICSW, clinical director, at Elder Services of the Merrimack Valley; and Katie Galenius, MSW, LICSW, director of the Older Battered Women’s/Family Abuse Program at Greater Lynn Senior Services.
 
Shifting the Paradigm - Trauma Informed Care,” with Annie Lewis-O’Connor, PhD, NP-BC, MPH, FAAN, senior nurse scientist, founder and director of the Women’s C.A.R.E. Clinic (Coordinated Approach to Recovery and Empowerment),  and research associate at the Connors Center for Women's Health and Gender Biology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
 
Understanding Trauma and Addiction,” with Maria Ulmer, MA, LMFT, CAADC, chief clinical officer at Summit Behavioral Health.

Please indicate the type of CEUs you require. If you are paying for more than one person, please tell us who, and the type of CEU needed. Due to expenses that will be incurred for breakfast and lunch, no refunds will be issued for no shows.
