Holy Family Hospital’s Wound Care & Hyperbaric Center Named a Center of Excellence for the Fifth Consecutive Year

Haverhill, MA. – For the fifth year in a row Holy Family Hospital’s Wound Care & Hyperbaric Center has earned the Robert A. Warriner, III Center of Excellence award for exceeding healing and quality benchmarks.

Following its first year of operation, The Wound Care & Hyperbaric Center received a Center of Distinction award for achieving patient satisfaction rates over 90 percent, and an 89 percent healing rate. When the center achieved the same benchmarks the second year, it received a second Center of Distinction award, plus the prestigious Center of Excellence award for repeat high-quality performance.

This year the center has received the Center of Excellence Award for the fifth consecutive year. The honor comes from Healogics, one of the nation’s leading wound care management companies. The Wound Care Center is a member of the Healogics Clinical Network of over 560 centers, which allows access to benchmarking data, and a network experienced in treating millions of chronic wounds.

“Holy Family Hospital prides itself in delivering outstanding care. We are proud of our wound care team and honored to accept this award,” said Holy Family Hospital President Joseph Roach. “All of our hard work and dedication is for our patients and their families. When wounds heal, patients and families can live their lives again.”

At Holy Family Hospital’s Wound Care and Hyperbaric Center in Haverhill, hundreds of patients have received specialized treatment, often preventing amputations, and helping patients return to active lives.

“For five consecutive years we have been privileged to serve our community with the highest possible level of care,” said Walter Kwass, MD, vascular surgeon and medical director of the Wound Care & Hyperbaric Center. “This award is a testament to our exceptional wound care team.”
