Holy Family Hospital to Host A Senior Seminar on Rectal Bleeding

“Hemorrhoids and Rectal Bleeding - Dispelling Common Myths,” will be the topic of discussion during Senior Supper at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen on December 16, 2015.

During the supper Colorectal Surgeon Jana Simonds, MD will talk about the various causes of rectal bleeding, medical and surgical treatment options, and answer questions from the audience.

Dr. Simonds, a fellowship trained colorectal surgeon in practice in North Andover and Haverhill, is on staff at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen and Haverhill. Her special interests include general surgery, minimally invasive and robotic surgery, cancer of the colon and rectum, colonoscopy, endorectal ultrasound, inflammatory bowel disease, pelvic floor dysfunction and fecal incontinence.

The supper presentation will be held in hospital’s ground-floor auditorium from 4-5 p.m. The cost of $5 includes a full dinner and the presentation.
