Holy Family Hospital to Offer Free Seminar on New Advances in Hip and Knee Replacement Surgery

Learn the latest advances in hip and knee replacement surgery at Holy Family Hospital in Haverhill with Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeons Barry Bickley, MD and Gregory Johnson, MD on Thursday, June 28, 2018, 6-7 p.m.

Dr. Bickley and Dr. Johnson will talk about Mako™ robotic-arm assisted surgery, and describe how precision placement and minimal incisions can offer improved outcomes for patients.

Dr. Bickley and Dr. Johnson will identify who is a candidate for surgery, describe how to best prepare for surgery, and explain modern “tripod” pain management which helps reduce pain while reducing use of narcotics.

Holy Family Hospital’s Center for Orthopedic Excellence has the most experienced team of Mako™ robotic-arm assisted surgeons in the region. Holy Family Hospital, a Blue Cross Blue Shield Blue Distinction Center Plus for Hip and Knee Replacement, is the first hospital in Massachusetts to earn Advanced Certification in Hip and Knee Surgery from The Joint Commission.

This presentation is part of the Meet the Expert series of seminars held monthly throughout the year at Holy Family Hospital. Seminars are free and open to the public. Light refreshments are served and registration is required. Nurses in attendance are awarded one contact hour in nursing at the end of the presentation.

This free seminar will be in the Holy Family Hospital Haverhill campus first-floor auditorium.
