Holy Family Hospital to Host Seminar on Causes and Treatment of Hemorrhoids

During Senior Lunch at Holy Family Hospital at Merrimack Valley in Haverhill on December 1, 2015,  Gastroenterologist Francis MacMillan, Jr., MD will talk about the causes of hemorrhoids as well as ways to medically and surgically treat them. He will also answer questions from the audience.

Dr. MacMillan, a board certified gastroenterologist on staff at Holy Family Hospital, earned his medical degree at Boston University School of Medicine. He completed his internship at New England Deaconess Hospital, his residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and his fellowship in gastroenterology at Lahey Clinic.

The luncheon presentation titled, Hemorrhoids: Payback for Modern Living, will be held in the hospital’s first-floor auditorium from 1 to 2 p.m. The cost of $5 includes a full dinner and the presentation.

The menu includes cheese ziti bake, whole green beans, salad, rolls, pudding parfait, coffee and tea.

Holy Family Hospital at Merrimack Valley is located at 140 Lincoln Avenue in Haverhill.
